Biodiesel, biogazole
Le biodiesel, biogazole ou B100 (B20, B5, B2, etc) est un biocarburant obtenu à partir d’huile végétale ou animale, transformée par un procédé chimique appelé transestérification faisant réagir cette huile avec un alcool (méthanol ou éthanol), afin d’obtenir du EMHV ou du EEHV (suivant l’alcool utilisé). Le biodiesel tente de concurrencer les huiles végétales utilisées à l’état brut et le pétrodiesel, c’est-à-dire le diesel classique. Le biodiesel peut être utilisé seul dans les moteurs ou mélangé avec du pétrodiesel.
